This isn’t your run of the mill Florida beach elopement. No, friends. This one is amped up and perfect for equestrians (or horse lovers) looking for a way to include horseback riding on their elopement day.
Kyra and Stephen decided that a traditional wedding was just not their style. Instead, they opted to elope on a beautiful, secluded horseback riding beach. Sounds romantic, right? Well, hold onto your hats, folks, because this story only gets better from here.
Kyra and Stephen helped each other get ready in the cabin of their horse trailer. It was a slow and overcast morning that brought all the comfy cozy feels to the day. Kyra hung up her dress on one of the tack hooks as Stephen was getting the horses ready.
They both rode over to the ocean for their ceremony as the sun was rising over the ocean. As they said their vows, their horses watched them even trying to get a little snack off of a rose from Kyra’s bouquet (it just looked too good).
After the ceremony, K+S hopped on their horses for a romantic ride along the shore. They played around in the sand, had a few relay races up and down the beach, and took in the sunrise. I mean, why walk when you can ride a majestic horse during sunrise, am I right? Literally, riding horseback with your new husband just screams romance.
But wait, it gets better. The couple then indulged in a luxury picnic on the beach crafted by S&E Picnic. Champagne, sparkling water, strawberries, breakfast cheese boards, the whole shebang. The S&E team pulled out all the stops for these two and had the entire picnic ready to go for them once they came back from their ride. Totally effortless, and totally worth it.
But, let’s be real here, the best part of any wedding is the afterparty. K+S hit up a local beach bar for post-ceremony celebratory drinks. My favorite part was how excited the bartenders were seeing them walk into the outdoor bar in their wedding attire! Everyone gets freakin’ happy around newlyweds. Also, who needs a traditional reception when you can party it up with strangers at a beach bar (and get a free drink or two)?
In all seriousness, though, eloping on a beach, riding horses, and enjoying a luxury picnic is an absolute dream if you’re wanting the ocean views with a little pizzazz.
