Jordan and Zach’s backyard Florida micro wedding was perfect! Meeting Jordan was purely accident while Caleb and I were out for some beers one night. Caleb and I were sitting at a table at Hop Life Brewing Company when Jordan walked by us and Caleb awkwardly says “you’re Zach’s fiancé, right?” This was just Caleb being the one guy that remembers every face that he’s ever seen in his entire life. Little did I know a couple weeks later Jordan would call me to talk about shooting her wedding. Of course, I would start off by apologizing for freaking her out that one night haha.
During the planning stages, Jordan and I brainstormed on how she wanted her wedding day and how it would be perfect. The one thing that remained the same was her excitement to marry her best friend, Zach, and the desire to have mismatching chairs during the ceremony! They are huge DIY’ers so it was only natural that everything Jordan and Zach did came out perfect. Over the next couple months, I would be on the look out for chairs being discarded curbside. For the wedding, his parents built this badass oak arch (which will later be turned into a swing), Jordan and Zach collected and refurbished chairs for the ceremony, Zach found and fixed up this freakin’ stellar Dodge truck for their get away mobile, and Jordan did all the florals. Every bit of it was perfect. It was them. If I can urge all my couples to do one thing during their wedding planning, it is to remember what the day is all about – marrying the love of your life – and Jordan and Zach nailed it.
Let’s capture your backyard micro wedding! Reach out, babe!
